So you've read about what we do and you'd like to get involved? Well we'd like to hear from you too. If you wish to apply to join Radio General and help us with our work, then download the application pack below.
We're after volunteers that can provide a regular commitment to Radio General and help out in a variety of different ways. We're not just after on-air staff, but support staff too. We have categories of members who are involved with the different aspects of the running of the charity:
‘Studio based broadcasting’ Roles includes:
Ward Visiting / Presenting / Interviewing.
‘Non studio based broadcasting’ Roles includes:Outside Broadcast Presentation / Rugby Commentaries / Sport Reporting / Interviewing / Roadshows.
‘Station Assistant’ Roles include:
Music Library / Publicity / Researcher.
New members serve a 3 month probationary period before being nominated for full membership. Our minimum age for applicants is 17 years old. This is a restriction imposed by the hospital.

Please enclose your current CV if you have one, but please don't send us any demo tapes.

Work Placements
We sometimes get requests for work placements. Unfortunately due to the way Radio General operates we are unable to offer these. We can only accept applications for membership.
